Two $3,000 Scholarships For Students
Pursuing Polish Studies
Philadelphia, Pa. – The American Council for Polish Culture (ACPC) has announced that it is seeking applicants for the Louis & Nellie Skalny Scholarships for Polish Studies. The two $3,000 scholarships are intended for students pursuing Polish studies (major may be in other fields) at universities in the United States.
Third- and fourth-year college students, as well as post-graduates, are encouraged to apply. Polish descent is not mandatory. Scholarships are awarded for the fall term. Complete scholarship application requirements are available online at <http://www.polishcultureacpc.org>.
For the past 19 years, the Rochester, New York-based, Louis and Nellie Skalny Foundation has donated to create a fund for this purpose and selected the ACPC as the scholarship administrator.
“We are delighted to again administer the scholarship program and urge all students pursuing Polish studies to apply,” said Debbie Majka, ACPC Skalny Scholarship Committee Chairman. “ACPC recognizes the importance of encouraging individuals to assume leadership roles in the Polish American community. We believe that the Skalny Scholarship awards provide incentives in this direction.”
The deadline for scholarship application is May 15, 2015.
For more information, applicants can contact Majka at (215) 627-1391 or via email at <firstname.lastname@example.org>.
