Poland and the USA in 100 years?
Challenges to and prospects for cooperation
According to experts, the cooperation between Poland and the United States over the next 100 years will focus on aspects such as trade, international security and healthcare innovation. The participants in the conference ‘The Best Way to Predict the Future is to Create it’ – the next 100 years of relations with the US – the case study of Poland, which will take place on September 26 and 27 in Washington, D.C., will discuss the perspectives for developing cooperation in these areas.
Nowadays, the Polish-American relations are excellent. In fact, they are as good as never before. There’s a lot of evidence of this blooming alliance, for instance the mutual stimulation of economic growth or steadily expanded security and defense cooperation. The centenary of diplomatic relations between the two nations is a great time to work out a vision of further tightening the ties for the years to come. It is also a good opportunity to initiate a discussion on the perspectives of unlocking the mutual potential stemming from innovation, healthcare and energy projects.
The September conference will provide a platform for the meaningful exchange of ideas, best practices and vision contributing to the strengthening of transatlantic relations. A comprehensive analysis of these issues will be provided by Polish and American decision-makers, key stakeholders, industry representatives, business organizations and NGOs.
The conference will be held at two locations in the heartland of American politics – the Willard Intercontinental Hotel (September 26) and Ronald Reagan Center (September 27), Washington, D.C. The first day of the event will see a series of strategy workshops devoted to Polish and American relations in the areas of energy, defense, battlefield medicine and space exploration. The leading topics of debates held on the conference’s second day will be transatlantic economic cooperation, research and development in healthcare, military cooperation, energy projects and Poland’s role in maintaining and developing relations between the United States and the European Union.
The conference is organized by the Kulski Foundation in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland as part of a grant obtained in the “Public Diplomacy 2019” competition. The event has been officially endorsed by government institutions such as the Ministry of National Defense, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology as well as the Ministry of Investment and Development and the National Security Bureau. The partners of the conference are the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the United States, ACEBA, PAIH, US Poland Business Council, American Chamber of Commerce in Poland and non-governmental organizations: Center for European Policy Analysis, My Space Love Story Foundation, Warsaw Enterprise Institute.

The Kulski Foundation, established in 2015 by Professor Julian Eugeniusz Kulski, is one of the largest non-profit organizations promoting patriotic values and national security, which are key elements of PolishAmerican cooperation. Polska i USA za 100 lat? Wyzwania i perspektywy współpracy.
Osią współpracy pomiędzy Polską a Stanami Zjednoczonymi przez następne 100 lat będą – zdaniem ekspertów – takie zagadnienia jak handel, bezpieczeństwo międzynarodowe oraz innowacje w ochronie zdrowia. O perspektywach rozwoju współpracy w tych obszarach dyskutować będą także uczestnicy konferencji “The Best Way to Predict the Future is to Create it” – the next 100 years of relations with the U.S. – the case study of Poland, która odbędzie się w dniach 26-27 września 2019 roku
w Waszyngtonie (USA).
Polska i Stany Zjednoczone pozostają obecnie w bardzo dobrych stosunkach. Być może najlepszych w historii. Dowodzi tego wzajemna stymulacja wzrostu gospodarczego, jak i systematyczne zacieśnianie współpracy w obszarze bezpieczeństwa. Setna rocznica nawiązania stosunków dyplomatycznych między tymi dwoma państwami to doskonały czas, aby wspólnie wypracować wizję kolejnych lat jeszcze bliszej współpracy. To także dobra okazja do zainicjowania dyskusji nad perspektywami wzajemnego wykorzystania potencjału w obszarze innowacji, ochrony zdrowia i energetyki.
Wrześniowa konferencja będzie stanowić platformę merytorycznej wymiany pomysłów, najlepszych praktyk i wizji wzmocnienia relacji transatlantyckich. Kompleksową analizę wspomnianych zagadnień zapewnią zaproszeni do dyskusji decydenci i kluczowi interesariusze, przedstawiciele organizacji branżowych i biznesu oraz organizacje pozarządowe z Polski i Stanów Zjednoczonych.
Konferencja odbędzie się w dwóch lokalizacjach w samym sercu amerykańskiej wielkiej polityki –Willard Intercontinental Hotel (26 września) oraz Ronald Reagan Center (27 września) w Waszyngtonie. Podczas pierwszego dnia wydarzenia zorganizowany zostanie szereg warsztatów strategicznych, poświęconych takim obszarom relacji pomiędzy Polską a Stanami Zjednoczonymi jak energetyka, obronność, medycyna pola walki oraz współpraca w zakresie eksploracji kosmosu. Tematami wiodącymi podczas drugiego dnia debat będą natomiast: transatlantycka współpraca gospodarcza, badania i rozwój w ochronie zdrowia, współpraca wojskowa, energetyka oraz rola Polski w utrzymaniu i rozwijaniu relacji pomiędzy Stanami Zjednoczonymi a Unią Europejską.
Organizatorem konferencji jest Fundacja Kulskich, która realizuje projekt we współpracy
z Ministerstwem Spraw Zagranicznych RP w ramach grantu pozyskanego w konkursie „Dyplomacja Publiczna 2019”. Honorowymi Patronatami wydarzenie objęły instytucje rządowe, takie jak: Ministerstwo Obrony Narodowej, Ministerstwo Zdrowia, Ministerstwo Energii, Ministerstwo Przedsiębiorczości
i Technologii oraz Ministerstwo Inwestycji i Rozwoju oraz Biuro Bezpieczeństwa Narodowego.
