POLAND – The Jagiellonian University in Cracow began its 44th Summer School of Polish Language and Culture with a ceremonial opening in the Aula of the Collegium Novum. The guest speaker for the event was former Premiere Jerzy Buzek (1997-2001) who addressed the students, representing 44 countries and five continents. A great number of the American students were able to come to Poland thanks to the Kosciuszko Foundation in a new program entitled Bridges to Poland from funds received from the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
