Rich Gawronski Passes On…
A Member of Rich Bobinski Orchestra

We are saddened to share the news that “Richie” (as he was fondly called) Rich Gawronski of Naugatuck CT, accordionist and sound engineer for The Rich Bobinski Orchestra, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016.  Rich first played with Walter Solek when he moved to Connecticut from Pennsylvania.  Following that he played with The Rich Bobinski Orchestra, The Jimmy Sturr Orchestra and The Dick Pillar Orchestra.  When Dick Pillar retired, Rich went full time with The Rich Bobinski Orchestra.  He was a very talented musician, great friend and a true gentleman.

Naugatuck, Connecticut-Richard S. Gawronski, age 67, husband of Anita M. (Lipowski) Gawronski, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at his home.

Richard was born on October 7, 1948 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late Stanley and Veronica (Borek) Gawronski.  He spent his younger years in Pennsylvania, and graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School in Philadelphia and later received his Bachelor degree.  Rich loved music, and was an accomplished musician, accordion player, and played in his own band.  He was a communicant of St. Vincent Ferrer Church.

Besides his beloved wife Anita of 30 years, he is survived by his brother John J. Gawronski; his father in law, Walter Lipowski; his brother in law Kenneth Lipowski and his wife Margaret; his nieces, Michele and her husband John, Becky and her husband Chris, Trisha and her husband Will; and his nephew Mitchell.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, February 5, 2016 at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, 1006 New Haven Road Naugatuck.  Burial followed in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
