The Children’s Smile Foundation is a Polish-American not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide assistance to disadvantaged children and help them grow into well-adjusted young adults. They believe that every Polish child, living anywhere in the world, has a right to a safe, healthy, and loving environment. Founded in 1998 and based in Maspeth, New York, the Foundation has provided grants to organizations and individuals in need of financial support to meet the needs of orphans and children with life-threatening medical conditions.

The FDNY Pulaski Association was founded in 1960 as a fraternal organization comprised of members of the FDNY who are of Polish or Slavic descent. There are currently over 220 members. The organization awards a scholarship annually to a member’s child who has completed a competitive academic examination and who is in the eighth grade at the time of application. The organization underwrites an FDNY valor medal that is awarded bi-annually to a member of the uniformed force who has performed an act of bravery as determined by the FDNY Board of Merit. In addition, the organization represents the FDNY at the annual General Casimir Pulaski Memorial Parade on Fifth Avenue and has hosted several dignitaries from the Republic of Poland at various FDNY-related venues. This has included escorting two Presidents of Poland to the 9/11 Memorials at the World Trade Center and the NYC Fire Museum, respectively.
