PSSA Celebrates 125th Anniversary

The POLISH SINGERS ALLIANCE of AMERICA, the oldest cultural organization in North America, has been and still is gloriously celebrating its 125th year of existence promulgating Polish Heritage through song this year of 2014.
        District 7’s PSAA member choruses of the tr-state area … CT,  NJ,  NY  as well as Philadelphia, PA are cordially inviting you, your family and friends to attend and participate in one or more of their events on SATURDAY,  OCTOBER 25, 2014.
        The day will begin at 9:00 am to 1 pm with an informative WORKSHOP for teachers, students aspiring to become teachers, scout leaders, or individuals interested in expanding their knowledge … to improve and gather ideas on developing an appreciation of choral music for young people while preserving Polish Culture through Song.  The workshop will be  presented by Professors of Music Academies of Poland followed by lunch at the Polish and Slavic Center 177 Kent Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY 11222.  Registration Fee:  $20.00.
        At 3:00 pm, at the Polish & Slavic Center  176  Java Street, Brooklyn, NY 11222 the District Seven Choruses will present a GALA CONCERT from 3 to 5 pm.  Medals of distinction will be presented by the President and Vice-President by the Alliance of Polish Choruses and Orchestras (ZPCHiO) of Poland to Choruses and members of PSAA. The concert is FREE. Free-will offerings will be accepted.
        From 7  to 11 pm there will be a DINNER-DANCE at the Princess Manor, 92 Nassau Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11222. Music will be supplied by Pogo Dance Band..The Polish Consul General of New York, Mrs. Ewa Junczyk- Zomiecka, will present awards from the Polish Government.
