Pope John Paul II Lecture
On Social Justice

Rutherford, NJ – April 2, 2019 – Felician University announced today that it will host the Annual Pope John II Lecture on Social Justice on Thursday, April 2. This event will take place on Felician’s Rutherford Campus in the Education Commons building at 7:00 P.M. This year’s lecture, co-sponsored by the Order of Malta and free to the public, features Christiana Zenner discussing her book, “Just Water: Theology, Ethics, and Global Fresh Water Crises.”

Just Water explores the necessity for the availability of a supply of fresh water from the perspective of Christian ethics. This revised edition includes new data and updates on social developments related to water crises, insights from Pope Francis’s encyclical Laudato si’, and a discussion of water justice from the perspective of the events at Standing Rock Dakota Access Pipeline Protest.
