Polka Variety Dance Draws
Big Crowd In Perth Amboy
If you were a polka lover looking for a great evening of dancing Saturday night, October 18, you should have been at the St. John Baptist Church, Perth Amboy, NJ as polka dancing returned to the church after a lapse of more than 5 years.
The church dance hall was packed with polka pals as the Frank Moravcik band entertained the crowd with a full evening of polkas, waltzes and a great mix of modern popular music that kept the dance floor filled for every set. Long time polka lovers who had never attended a polka variety dance came away very impressed with the band and the dance package.
Besides dancing, delicious food cooked in the church kitchen was part of the ticket, plus free beer for the evening. AT a time when polka dances are getting harder to find, you would have never known it if you were at the dance.
More dances are in store for 2015, so watch the Post Eagle online newspaper for times and dates of future dances. Many in attendance came with the polka dance ad in hand, as it appeared online in the Post Eagle.
