The annual St. Hedwig’s “Polish Festival” will be taking place from Monday, September 16th thru Saturday, September 21st at The Waterfront on South Madison Ave. in Wilmington, Delaware. Great polka entertainment with top notch bands each day (check band listings) under the tent. Enjoy delicious Polish foods, seafood specialties etc. plus Midway rides, games and much-much more. The Polish American Citizens Club located at 355 East Street in Ludlow, Massachusetts will begin their “Fall/ Winter Polka Dance Season” this Sunday, September 22nd. Dancing 3-7 p.m. featuring from Buffalo, NY “America’s Polka Sweetheart” Stephanie & Her Honky Polka Band. Polish Kitchen & cash bar will be available. The second “Free Polka Dance” sponsored by the Anthracite Polka Association of PA will be held this Sunday, September 22nd at the Freeland Event Center on Fern Street in Freeland, PA. Music & dancing from 2-6 p.m. to EFO- The Eddie Forman Orch. from MA. The dance is sponsored by the A.P.A. in appreciation for the many years of support from the club members and non-members who helped with a great polka following at all their polka dances in years past. “Polka Dancing” at the German Club on Carter Ave. in Pawtucket, Rhode Island this Sunday, September 22nd. This will be the “6th Anniversary Polka Dance Celebration” with music by Dennis Polisky & The Maestro’s Men (CT). There will also be a “Special Tribute” to Stanley Sinitski, leader of The Modernistics Orch. during the dance. Doors will open at 1 p.m. with food & refreshments available. The Polish American Social Club on Route # 1 in Vero Beach, Florida will sponsor a “Polka Dance Special & Birthday Celebration” this Sunday, September 22nd at the Polish Club. They will be honoring Polish Club founder Harry Klimas on the occasion of his 95th Birthday. Harry was one of the principal founders of the Polish Club, purchased the land, and with the financial help of many others, helped build the beautiful Vero Beach Polish Club which everyone enjoys these days. Festivities from 2-5 p.m. with Polish food and open bar. Music & dancing to The Harbor Bros. Orch. from Hollywood, Fl. Everyone welcome to this gala “Birthday Polka Celebration”.
