Many members of the Polish American community in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area hold Polish passports and take a strong interest in Poland’s politics.  The vibrancy of Poland’s freedom will continue to be determined by Polish citizens through their active and informed participation in elections and democracy.  Washington Polonia, as did American Polonia in general, dedicated itself whole-heartedly to the cause of restoring and securing Poland’s freedom for over half a century.  Therefore, we wish the best for the continued success of Poland’s government “of the people, by the people and for the people.”
