Culinary Arts Open House August 22, 2016
NEW JERSEY – Passaic County Community College, one of the most affordable colleges in the state, announces a new Culinary Arts Program starting this Fall. Students can earn a degree in Culinary Arts or a certificate in either Baking or Culinary Arts. “A career in food is a great choice,” says Chef Louis Hernandez, coordinator of Culinary Arts at PCCC. “The industry offers a wide range of opportunities and eating out is more popular than ever.”
Students will learn basic cooking and baking techniques, kitchen management, purchasing, inventory, catering, and more, all in the new professional kitchens at the recently expanded Wanaque Academic Center. Students will also gain hands-on experience through internships at area restaurants or cafes.
Those interested in a culinary career are invited to a Culinary Arts Open House on August 22 from 3:30 pm to 6:30 pm at PCCC’s Wanaque Academic Center, 500 Union Avenue, Wanaque. For more information about the Open House, visit www.pccc.edu/openhouse
Also starting this Fall at PCCC are new degree and certificate programs in Music Technology, Digital Media Production and Distribution, and Video Production, all in, all in fast-growing fields with high job demand. The program features new music practice and production studios in Wanaque.
Passaic County Community College offers over 70 degree and certificate programs in today’s top career fields including business, technology, healthcare, science, education, and much more. PCCC offers affordable tuition, financial aid, four locations, flexible schedules, and online classes.
Veterans are welcome to attend a special Veterans Information Session on August 4 at the Wanaque Campus where you will learn more about how your benefits can help you pursue a degree at PCCC.
