Pascrell Statement On Polish Election
U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) made the following statement in reaction to the recent election in the Republic of Poland:
“I congratulate Prime Minister elect Beata Szydło and the Law and Justice party on their election victory in Poland’s Parliamentary elections. Additionally, I applaud Jaroslaw Kaczynski for his message of unity following the elections and the Polish people’s commitment to upholding the important tenants of a democracy in the region by having an open, free and fair election process. As one of our closest friends in the region and a committed NATO ally, I look forward to working with the new government to build upon an already strong partnership and advance our shared goals of freedom, protection of human rights, and security as we confront many of the world’s greatest challenges together.”
