National Youth Camp 2013 – Holiday Palooza!
PENNSYLVANIA – The 2013 National PFA (Polish Falcons of America) Camp will take place Sunday, June 30 through Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Camp Hawthorne Ridge in Girard, Penn. It will be a week of holiday celebrations!
At camp, we will be celebrating Polish Independence Day on Sunday and Monday. Tuesday will be Halloween and Wednesday will be Thanksgiving. Since Thursday is actually the 4th of July, that is what we will celebrate on Thursday. Merry Christmas on Friday! Saturday will be New Years Eve which will conclude with our New Year’s Eve dance!
I am pleased to say that our new Cultural Commissioner Larry Kozlowski will be joining us at camp this year. He will be sharing some fun and interesting Polish culture. He will help us to celebrate the holidays with a Polish touch.
Along with all of our celebrating, we will be playing volleyball and soccer, swimming, practicing archery, Polish Dancing and enjoying many team challenges. It will be a great week of fun and fraternalism. Let’s pack the camp with as many campers as we can!
If you are between the ages of 9 and 18, we would love for you to join us as a PFA Camper. If you are 19 or 20 and a PFA Member in Good Standing, please consider applying to be a Junior Counselor. Age 21 or older? Apply to be a Counselor! Counselors are Members in Good Standing.
All Member Campers will be required to make a deposit of $200 per camper. If you stay at camp the whole week, your $200 check will be returned following camp. If you sign up and don’t show up, your check will be kept to cover the costs for the week. If you leave early, your check will also be kept to cover costs.
NEW THIS YEAR!
Do you have a friend that is not a Member of the Polish Falcons of America that likes to have fun? Would you like your friend to come to PFA Camp and try it out? Well for this year’s camp we will allow each of our PFA Youth Campers ages 8 to 18 to bring one friend with them who is not a PFA Member. The cost for Guest Campers is $200 for the week. Guest Campers will be allowed to attend camp one time. After our Guest Campers have a fabulous time at camp, in order for them to be able to participate in any other events, they will have to become an official Member of the Polish Falcons of America.
