ABA Sponsors Music Scholarship
CLIFTON, NJ – The recipient of this year’s Matt “Garbo” Grabowski Music Scholarship Award is Marc Pannullo. The award was presented to Marc by Matt’s brother, Councilman Ray Grabowski, at the Clifton High School Awards Ceremony which was held on May 26, 2016.
Matt Grabowski – “Garbo” as he was known in the music field – had a passion for music, and to honor his legacy, the Athenia Business Association created the Matt “Garbo” Grabowski Music Scholarship. The ABA wants to help a deserving Clifton High School student, who demonstrates a love of music, with their musical career. This is one way to memorialize Matt and at the same time give back to our community – a community which Matt loved and worked so hard to keep it thriving. Matt was always giving back, and that’s what the ABA wants to do. (Matt Grabowski, former Clifton City Councilman 2010 – 2015, passed away in 2015). The award offered in the amount of $1,000.00 will be given annually to a graduating senior of Clifton High School, beginning with the Class of 2016.
The ABA wishes Marc much success in his musical career.
If anyone would like to help donate to the scholarship, please send to ABA, 800 Van Houten Ave., Clifton, NJ 07013.
