Marcin Zaborowski Named CEPA

Noted Polish Think-Tanker To Lead CEPA Warsaw Office
WASHINGTON, June 3, 2015 – The Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) is pleased to announce that Marcin Zaborowski will join CEPA as Executive Vice President of the organization. In his new role, which will commence on July 20, 2015, Dr. Zaborowski will oversee the creation of and direct CEPA’s new Warsaw office while also performing senior executive functions in the wider organization.
“Marcin has been a close friend and ally of our institute for many years,” said CEPA President Wess Mitchell. “He is a proven leader and institution-builder in the transatlantic community. Marcin’s energy and skill will be major assets for CEPA as we expand our organization’s role in Central Europe.”
Dr. Zaborowski has a distinguished career as a policy analyst and think-tank director. For the past five years, he has served as the Director of the Polish Institute for International Affairs (PISM), Poland’s leading foreign-policy research center. He previously directed the Transatlantic Program at the European Union Institute for Security Studies (EUISS) in Paris. He was a lecturer in International Relations at the University of Birmingham and Aston University in the United Kingdom from 2001 to 2005 and Coordinator and Director of the Transatlantic Program at the Center for International Relations in Warsaw from 2002 to 2004.
As CEPA Executive Vice President, Dr. Zaborowski will play a senior strategic role, both in the development and management of the Warsaw office and in wider organizational strategy as a member of the CEPA executive leadership team. He will help to guide major strategic programs and organizational growth in CEPA’s Washington, DC headquarters while overseeing the institute’s strategy for expansion in the Central and Eastern European region, including the former Soviet space.
