Where Was Their Commander-In-Chief?

I watched the 70th Anniversary ceremony of VE Day in Washington, D.C. on C-SPAN. It was inspiring to see the Veterans gathered there remembering and honoring those who served and the fallen heroes who lost their lives. There are so few of our WWII Vets left to tell their stories. Where was their “Commander-in-Chief?” I was shocked that the President was absent and instead sent Susan Rice to speak to the group. Another slap in the face from the President, sending the Sunday morning talk-show liar who insisted the Benghazi deaths of our four Americans were caused by a video supposedly insulting to Muslims. The President had the gall to send his liar to speak to this group, most of who believe as I do, that when the President said in one of his many speeches… “We never leave our warriors behind”, he too needed to be reminded of his role in the Benghazi massacre.
I noticed that when Susan Rice finished speaking, there was barely discernable applause from very few non-enthusiastic people scattered throughout the audience. Good, I thought, the Vets have spoken by their absent applause. Perhaps Rice, the President and all others watching also got the message.
In contrast, I watched the ceremonies live from Great Britain, listened to the prayers and watched Prime Minister David Cameron, his cabinet and other party members place red poppy wreaths at the base of their WWII memorial. A class act with the Prime Minister leading the way to do what is right!
WAKE UP AMERICANS!
PAY ATTENTION TO WHAT THIS PRESIDENT IS DOING!
