In an intercollegiate contest the contest is between one or more colleges.

What is the difference between:
INTERMURAL AND INTRAMURAL (murus = wall)

INTERVENOUS AND INTRAVENOUS (vena = vein)
INTRO is used in the words: INTRODUCE, INTROSPECTION,
INTROVERT (vertere = to turn)
EXTRA is used in the words: EXTRAORDINARY, EXTRALEGAL, EXTRAMURAL
and of course in the newspaper boy’s shout – “extra, extra, read all about it.”
