CLIFTON, NJ: Power of One is turning to the community to Help Stock the “School Pantry” that benefits school age children during times of family crisis and hardships.
The Back2School Outreach and the Minds in Motion, after school program, held at School #12 in Clifton are joining forces. Together, the two will provide a School Pantry to help meet the basic needs for children, so they can come to school prepared and ready to learn.
We can use your help by either donating non-perishable food items, organize a food drive or host a drop off location in the community.

Girl Scout Jr. Troop # 95322 (4th Graders) of Clifton organized and prepared the donated food items for the Thanksgiving Outreach. Your support and donations will help stock the School Pantry with non-perishable food items and supplies such as: Hot/or cold cereal, soup, canned fruit, healthy snacks, mac & cheese, meals in a can, juice boxes, toiletries and school supplies. The School Pantry is located inside Elementary School #12 in Clifton and will benefit Clifton’s children in grades K-5.
To date, the outreach has sponsored over 500 children in the Clifton school system with back packs filled with school supplies. Thanks to our sponsors A-1 Affordable Construction of Clifton and Amerigroup Real Solutions, this Thanksgiving the Back2Schoool Outreach provided 20 families with a complete Thanksgiving dinner. With your support this year, we will be able to expand the outreach with a “School Pantry” and reach more children in need.
A supply list with instructions is located at City Hall Clifton or online at www.powerofoneccom,org . Drop off locations: School #12, 165 Clifton Ave, (during regular school hours) or at City Hall.

The Back2School Outreach mission is to provide underprivileged children with basic needs during his/her school year. We work closely with principals and teachers of our schools and have become a bridge between the teacher and student by providing the student with the supplies they need to succeed during the year.
