Why Can’t He Get One Freed?

I recently heard a perfect reply to the President’s lack of response to the plight of the Marine Sargeant being held in a Mexican prison for accidentally crossing into Mexico. Why can’t the most powerful man in the world, the Commander-in-Chief intervene to obtain his release? After all, he has “a pen and a phone.” Our government has released 36,000 convicted illegal immigrant murderers, rapists and drunk drivers back into our society. Can’t he trade one life for the 36,000 criminals he released? Just asking.
