Free Mental Health Screening In Clifton

CLIFTON, NJ – In collaboration with Inner Healing Counseling, the Clifton Health Department will be holding a Mental Health Screening for Clifton and Little Falls residents on Friday, October 6th from 1pm-4pm at the Clifton Health Department, located at 900 Clifton Ave. 2nd Floor. There is no fee for this screening. Appointments are required. Please call 973-470-5773 to schedule your appointment or for more information.

This Mental Health Screening will address depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, etc. This 15-30 minute screening is not a full psychological evaluation. No clinical diagnoses will be made, but resources and referrals will be provided. Mental Health Screenings are confidential and consist of questions that a person answers. This is a way to learn more about one’s mental health and whether or not they are showing symptoms of a mental illness. Mental health affects both men and women of all ages. In 2023, nearly 4 in 10 adults in the United States reported having symptoms of anxiety or depression. With this screening, residents will be able to identify potential mental health issues, receive early intervention, and increase awareness. A Mental Health Screening can help mental illness in its earliest stages when treatment will be most effective.

The Clifton Health Department is a contractual health agency serving the Township of Little Falls.
