Clifton, NJ ⎯The Clifton Health Department and Project B.E.S.T., employed by the New Jersey Board of Human Services, will be hosting a vision screening for adults on August 29th from 9:30 am to 11:00 am. The examination will be conducted by trained vision screeners funded by The State of New Jersey. The screening will be examining participants’ visual acuity and screening for glaucoma. It will be held on the second floor of Clifton City Hall at 900 Clifton Ave and is by appointment only. This screening is open to Little Falls and Clifton residents only. This is only a screening program, no prescriptions will be given. Referrals will be made in appropriate cases.
Lack of awareness for any eye disorder can destroy vision. According to CBVI, “National researches say that 50% of all case of blindness or severe vision loss could have been prevented with proper eye care.”
A vision screening does not replace an eye doctor’s exam, but it can help identify people who are at greater risk for eye disease. This screening is open to residents of Clifton and Little Falls. For more information or to register please call 1-973-470-5760.
The Clifton Health Department is a contractual health agency for the Township of Little Falls.
