LODI, NEW JERSEY – The Felician School had a great extended school year summer sesson this year. The theme was “Science Rocks” and each group or class worked on a science project or unit throughout the month of July. The summer session finished with a science fair in which everyone had the chance to see what all the groups had done. Among the projects were the life cycle of the butterfly, making crystals, healthy heart, blending colors, science of sound and music, and the property of matter. In addition other ESY activities included were a visit with the ice cream truck, bowling trip, Montclair Jackals baseball game, a visit to the Chapel to see how the pipe organ works, and lunch at Felician College. The highlight was an exciting Hip Hop demonstration and workshop with Bergen Performing Arts Center and Arts Horizons. Students had the opportunity to learn about music and dancing.
