Exhibit of Satirical Drawings
At The Skulski Art Gallery
NEW JERSEY – The Skulski Art Gallery of the Polish Cultural Foundation in Clark, New Jersey is proud to host two outstanding artists of satirical drawing – Ryszard Druch and Zygmunt Zaradkiewicz from November 6 – 27, 2015 in the show titled: “Caricature”. We welcome the public to our exhibit.
RYSZARD DRUCH, born in 1952 in Chelmno, Poland. A graduate of the National Lyceum of Fine Arts and the Higher School of Pedagogics in Opole. Specializes in: satirical drawing, illustration, poster and painting. In 1988 accepted by Eryk Lipinski to join the Association of the Polish Artists of Satirical Drawing in Warsaw. Organizer and as well the sponsor for the Polish National Competition of Satirical Drawing – “Opole ‘99”. Since 1991 lives and works in the USA. Creator and the host of 154 Salony Artystyczne – a monthly events propagating the polish art and culture, since 2000. In 2014 awarded with the “Krzyz Kawalerski Orderu Zaslugi RP” and also in 2013 honored with the Medal Komisji Edukacji Narodowej. Works can be found at the Museum of Caricature in Warsaw, Museum of K. Pulaski in Warka, Museum of the Polish Scouting Organization in Warsaw, and also in private collections in Poland, Germany and USA.
ZYGMUNT ZARADKIEWICZ, born in 1951 in Makow Mazowiecki, Poland, graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, from the Graphics Department. Specializes in: satirical drawing, book illustration, graphics, poster and scenography. Since 2014 fulfills duty as Director of the Museum of Caricature in Warsaw. For his artistic works won numerous awards in Poland and as well abroad. Works can be found in the collection of Museum of Caricature in Warsaw, Museau Nacional da Imprensa, Portugal, ECC Kruishouten, Belgium and in the private collections in Poland and in the World.
