NEW JERSEY – Edward J. Siepiola, 92, a longtime resident of Saddle Brook, NJ passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016. Ed proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II where he was stationed in Europe. A member of Elks Lodge 2001 of Paramus, he was a former Exalted Ruler. An active and concerned member of the Saddle Brook community, he served as a councilman, deputy mayor and mayor.
Prior to retiring in 1984, he was a quality assurance engineer with Gibbs & Hill, Inc. in New York for many years. Previous and after his service with the U.S. Army, he was employed with Curtiss Wright in Wood Ridge.
Beloved husband of the late Helen (Zagajewski) Siepiola. Loving and devoted father of Deborah Beilschmidt and husband Allen, Donna Klein and husband Raymond, Denise Trento and husband Stephen and Dorene Pelillo and husband Paul. Cherished grandfather of Allen Jr., Ryan and wife Mary, Douglas, Brianna, Vincent and Matthew and great grandfather of Joshua.
The family received relatives and friends on Friday, January 22, 2016 at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 25, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment was private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Edward to Shriners Hospital for Children, Office of Development, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607 would be appreciated.
