Dr. Chmielewski Appointed Associate
Residency Program Director At
Medical City Arlington, TX

Michael J. Chmielewski, MD FACOG was recently appointed as Associate Residency Program Director for Obstetrics & Gynecology Medical City Arlington, a division of HCA Healthcare & TCU-UNT Graduate Medical Education Consortium in Arlington, Texas. Michael graduated from Penn State in 1987 with Distinction. He completed his medical school training at Temple University School of Medicine in 1992 and finished his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996 both in Philadelphia, Pa. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and is a Fellow of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Michael has held a number of leadership positions during his tenure in medical practice in Pennsylvania over the past 25 years and was previously awarded The Blue Star of Excellence in Teaching for his role in Graduate Medical Education.

Most recently, Michael relocated with his wife Nancy from Quakertown, PA to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in Texas. Originally raised in Bucks County, PA, he is the son of Alice Testa and the late Charles Chmielewski.

“This is a dream opportunity that has come true,” said Dr. Chmielewski of his new appointment. “I have been given the opportunity to both teach and practice with one of the finest medical institutions in the country!” In addition to his teaching role, he will continue to practice both Obstetrics and Gynecology at Medical City Women’s Care with offices in both Red Oak and Arlington.

Dr. Chmielewski is a Generalist OBGYN, though his special interests include gynecologic dermatology, operative hysteroscopy, laparoscopic/ minimally invasive surgery and robotic surgery. “I am most fortunate to teach, yet also learn from my team of students, nurses, staff and the talented group of physicians that practice throughout the Medical City Healthcare network,” he notes.
