On Sunday, June 18th, the Catholic Church in USA have celebrated the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Jesus Christ – Corpus Christi. Our celebration at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, PA has begun with a Solemn Mass celebrated at 12:30 PM in Polish. The main celebrant and a homilist of this liturgy was Fr. Mikolaj Socha, the Provincial of the Pauline Fathers & Brothers in USA. During His homily, Fr. Provincial emphasized the value of the Eucharist for all Catholics, comparing it to the beliefs and practices of different Christian communities. He has also encouraged everyone to participate in every Mass with reverance and avoiding distractions.
After the Mass, Fr. Mikolaj led the faithful in an outdoor Eucharistic Procession around the Shrine. It is a great tradition, that is still very much alive and beautiful in Poland. That is why many people came to the Shrine to participate in this form of a traditional Eucharistic devotion, to keep the faith of our fathers alive and give witness of our faith in Jesus Christ. During the procession, we made four stops, at the beautifully decorated altars on the Shrine grounds. At every one of these stops, we have also listened to the Gospel passages, that have been sung in Polish and in English by the Pauline Fathers: Fr. Jan Michalak, Fr. Joseph Olczak, Fr. Karol Jarzabek and Fr. Edward Voltz. The Procession ended in the Main Church, where everyone sung a hymn of thanksgiving, Te Deum Laudamus, and the entire celebration concluded with a Solemn Benediction.
On the same day, as the Feast of Corpus Christ, we have also celebrated Father’s Day. It was a wonderful occassion to thank God for our fathers and to pray for them. During some of the Masses at the Shrine, Fathers have received a special blessing, so that they may imitate God, who has reveled Himself to us as a loving and merciful Father, always present with and for us in the Eucharist.

Boże Ciało w Amerykańskiej Częstochowie
W Niedzielę 18 czerwca obchodziliśmy w Kościele Katolickim w Stanach Zjednoczonych Uroczystość Najświętszego Ciała i Krwi Chrystusa – Boże Ciało. W diecezjach amerykańskich święto to jest przeniesione z czwartku na niedzielę, przypadającą po Uroczystości Trójcy Przenajświętszej.
W Amerykańskiej Częstochowie główne obchody tej uroczystości rozpoczęliśmy Mszą Świętą o godzinie 12:30, której przewodniczył o. Mikołaj Socha, Prowincjał Zakonu Paulinów w USA. O. Prowincjał w trakcie tej liturgii wygłosił także homilię, w której podkreślał jak ważna jest Eucharystia dla wszystkich katolików, porównując naszą wiarę z doktryną i praktykami innych wspólnot chrześcijańskich. Zwrócił także uwagę na przeżywanie odpowiedniego skupienia w czasie każdej Mszy Świętej, gdyż jest to szczególny czas spotkania z Bogiem.
Ojciec Mikołaj następnie poprowadził tradycyjną procesję Eucharystyczną wokół terenu naszego Sanktuarium, która jak co roku zgromadziła wielu pielgrzymów z różnych Stanów USA. Zatrzymując się w czasie procesji przy czterech, pięknie udekorowanych ołtarzach wysłuchaliśmy słów Ewangelii dotyczących Eucharystii. Fragmenty Ewangelii zaśpiewali Ojcowie Paulini: o. Jan Michalak, o. Józef Olczak, o. Karol Jarząbek i o. Edward Voltz. Procesja zakończyła się w Kościele wspólnym śpiewem Ciebie Boga wysławiamy, oraz błogosławieństwem Najświętszym Sakramentem.
Tegoroczne Święto Bożego Ciała zbiegło się także z obchodzonym w USA Dniem Ojca. Była to więc wspaniała okazja aby dziękować Bogu za dar ojcostwa i prosić go o siłę i potrzebne łaski dla wszystkich ojców, aby naśladowali Ojcostwo Boga, który objawia nam się jako kochający i miłosierny Ojciec, obecny dla nas zawsze w szczególny sposób w Najświętszym Sakramencie.
