Congressman Pascrell Congratulates
Firefighter Angelina Tirado
On Promotion To Lieutenant

To the Editor:

Firefighter Angelina Tirado has accomplished a great deal in her life. In 2010, as she became Clifton’s (New Jersey) first female firefighter, Angelina set the tone for what would become an outstanding career. Imbued with determination, she will reach yet another milestone this week, as she becomes the first female Lieutenant in the history of Clifton’s Fire Department.

Through years of adversity and sacrifice, Angelina has blazed a trail for a new generation of firefighters and emergency services personnel. She began her service to our community as an emergency medical technician in the city of Passaic before joining the Clifton Fire Department. Her accomplishments within those eight years prove that she is more than prepared for this new leadership role. She is truly inspiring.

On behalf of the Ninth Congressional District, I want to congratulate Angelina on her promotion to Lieutenant and I want to thank her for her years of service to our community. Angelina: I’m sure your accomplishments thus far will only be matched by future success in the years ahead. Thank you for your service and I wish you all the best as you take on your new role within the department.

Best wishes,
Bill Pascrell, Jr.
Member of Congress (NJ-09)
Co-Chair of the Congressional Fire Services Caucus
