Conclave

The word for today is – CONCLAVE – which means – A SECRET OR CONFIDENTIAL MEETING. In the Roman Catholic Church it is the private room in which the cardinals meet to elect a new pope. According to tradition the room is locked so that once all the cardinals are in no one can leave or enter until a new pope is chosen. The Latin words – CUMCLAVE – mean- WITH A KEY. The room is locked with key. Hence, the word – CONCLAVE. A little key in Latin is – CLAVICULA – from which we get the word – CLAVICLE. It is one of two slender bones in humans extending from the sternum to the scapula. It is in the shape of a narrow elongated S called also the COLLARBONE.
