Clifton’s Apple Pie Baking Contest
Winners Announces
NEW JERSEY – The Clifton Recreation Department held their annual Apple Pie Baking Contest on Sunday, October 27th at this year’s HarvestFest at Main Memorial Park. Participants were greeted by the volunteer judges as they dropped off their pie and each baker received a participant gift. The judging was difficult because ten delicious pies were entered. A decision was finally made and the winners received various gifts courtesy of Brookdale ShopRite, Stop & Shop, the Clifton Recreation Department, Uno Chicago Grill, Cold Rush, Cups and Wendy’s. The first place winner was Paula Cruz who received $75 in grocery store gift cards. Naomi Oyanguen was the second place winner and received $50 in grocery store gift cards. Third place went to Marilena Riley, who received a $25 grocery store gift card. Three pies were chosen for the Honorable Mention category. Jennifer Fay, Sharon Kievit, and Cynthia Neuschafer.
