Clifton High School Exhibits Exhibit & Sell Artworks
CLIFTON, NJ – Students of Clifton High School Art Department are exhibiting and selling their artworks at the Clifton Arts Center. This is an opportunity for all residents to view work created by talented and emerging resident artists. The exhibit opened on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 and will end on Saturday, May 24, 2014
American Idols is the theme title of the art exhibit. Katherine Karcz, chair teacher/coordinator of the High School show states: “We all worship in our own way. We choose to worship our gods, our people, our animals, our objects, our places, our ideas… Their names fall from our mouths daily when giving praise. They can be both objects of desire as well as objects of awe. But what do we worship? And to whom? And why? The 2014 Clifton High School student art show explores the idols-both true and false-of the American people and what they say about us as a greater population ~American Idols.”
Gallery hours open to the public to view art are from Wednesday through Saturday ~ 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Group tours are available by appointment. For more information log onto the website at: www.cliftonnj.org or like us on Facebook.
