32nd Annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service
NEW JERSEY – Our Lady of Mount Carmel R.C. Church, 10 St. Francis Way (between Passaic St. and Pennington Ave.) Passaic will be the site of the 32nd Annual Passaic Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service which will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 24th. The service is sponsored by the Passaic Ecumenical Committee.
The homilist will be Captain Trudy Medina of the Salvation Army. Captain Medina and her husband, Captain Carlos Medina, are currently Directors and Pastors of the Passaic Corps of the Salvation Army having also held these positions with the Perth Amboy, N.J. Corps. Their experience with the Salvation Army includes service in Ohio, Puerto Rico, and Pennsylvania as well.
Dr. Alex D. Blanco, Mayor of the City of Passaic, will be present and extend the greetings of the Passaic community to those attending.
“Faith in Action” is the theme of the service. The Ecumenical Choir comprised of members of the Passaic churches will lead the congregation in song.
All those who attend are asked to bring an offering of non-perishable food items to be distributed to the needy of the Passaic area.
Refreshments will be served at a social in the Church Hall after the service.
