Polish Heritage Society Celebrates
50th Anniversary At Polonaise Ball

PENNSYLVANIA – On Saturday, November 7, 2015, the Polish Heritage Society of Philadelphia, an affiliate of the American Council for Polish Culture, will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary with its Polonaise Ball, at the Associated Polish Home located at 9150 Academy Road, Northeast Philadelphia. On this special evening the Polish Heritage Society of Philadelphia will pay tribute to Past Presidents, Directors, Founders and long standing members.

Since its founding in 1965, the Polish Heritage Society has sought to give prominence to our cultural heritage and endow Polish traditions with new life in this country. Through its stimulating programs, the Society enhances members’ understanding and enjoyment of Polish history and the culture and values of our forefathers: Provides leadership, preserves Polish traditions, stimulates cultural interest and promotes good fellowship

The evening will begin with a cocktail hour at 6:00PM, then at 7:00PM an elegant buffet dinner and dancing to the music provided by the Dennis Ostopowicz Orchestra, in addition to folk dances by the Polish Intercollegiate Club (PKM). A Chinese Auction will also be conducted during the evening.

All proceeds from the Polonaise Ball will benefit the Polish Heritage Society of Philadelphia Scholarship Fund. Scholarship awards are given yearly to worthy students of Polish-American heritage. In 2015 the Polish Heritage Society of Philadelphia awarded $6,000.00 worth of scholarships to six students.
