19th Annual Polish Film
Festival In Los Angeles
Set For Oct. 17th

Dear Friends,

The 19th Annual Polish Film Festival Los Angeles will begin in less than two months, on the 17th of October and will be celebrating the greatest achievements of Polish filmmakers till October 25th.

The Festival will open with SQUADRON 303 (Dywizjon 303) by Denis Delic, starring Piotr Adamczyk, Maciej Zakoscielny, among others. This year the Gala Opening will take place on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Our star-studded Gala during which both Polish and American moviemakers will walk the red carpet at Hollywood’s legendary Egyptian Theatre, an extravagant start to a nine-day-long celebration of Polish Cinema through October 25, 2018 with subsequent screenings at the Laemmle’s NoHo 7 and Monica Film Center Theaters, Armer Theatre and USC.

It is crucial to support our celebration of Polish Cinema in Los Angeles, and therefore the Gala Opening is open by invitation to Festival supporters.    We really depend on you. So please donate even if you will not be attending the Gala or even if you will be out of town during the Festival. Any amount counts.

To become a supporter and attend the Gala Opening, please make a minimum donation of $90.00 (per person) before September 30, 2018. The VIP seats are available for a minimum donation of $250.00 (per person). If we receive your donation before September 10th, your name will be printed in the Festival catalog.

Space is limited, so please make your donations early to secure your seat.  Please make your invaluable, tax-deductible contribution, by mailing your checks to: Polish American Film Society, 7726 Ethel Ave., North Hollywood, CA 91605, or through PayPal on our website www.polishfilmla.org. We hope that you will be able to make a donation in support of promoting Poland and Polish cinema in Los Angeles.

For the nineteenth  time we will present the most recent achievements of Polish cinema, presenting   features, short films, documentaries and animations. Last year we screened 100 films. All films, if there are not in English, have English subtitles.

A panel of jurors from Hollywood will pick winners in feature, shorts, documentary, music debut and animation category. The winners will be announce during the Gala Opening.

The Festival continues to grow each year by screening more films and drawing larger crowds. As we expand, we seek increased support for this truly unique and rewarding “Holiday of Polish Cinema.” This is where our friends, patrons and valued sponsors can help.  You can find sponsorship opportunities on our website. As a loyal supporter of the Polish Film Festival Los Angeles you recognize the importance of promoting Polish film and Polish culture in Hollywood. Without such generosity and support, this event would not be possible.

The Festival is sponsored by the Polish Film Institute, The Senate of the Republic of Poland, POLAM, Polish Filmmakers Association, City of Los Angeles’ Department of Cultural Affairs,  Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Los Angeles, ELMA, Polish Center of Los Angeles, Helena Modjeska Art and Culture Club and Andrzej Dobrzynski.

We highly value and appreciate your anticipated generosity and support.

Sincerely,
Vladek Juszkiewicz
