The annual Jimmy Sturr “Polka Tribute to Bernie Witkowski” will be held this Sunday, January 20th at the Bayway Polish Club on Pulaski Street in Elizabeth, NJ. Music/ dancing and plenty of Polka Fun from 2-6 p.m. featuring the Jimmy Sturr Orch. with special guests Chuck Pendrak (clarinet) and Gene Wojna (accordion). Don’t miss this “Polka Nostalgic Day”. Bel-Aire Enterprises celebrates “January is National Polka Month” with a “Lucky Lottery Dance” on Sunday, January 27th at the Glendora House on South Harlem Ave. in Chicago Ridge, IL. The Bayway Polish Club in Elizabeth, NJ will present a “Benefit Concert” on Sunday, January 27th to aid the victims of Hurricane Sandy. All proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross. There will be seven (7) hours of music & dancing from 3-10 p.m. featuring 7 bands who are donating their services. Bands scheduled to appear include: The Ablemen – Chris & Ronnie Band – Ed Goldberg’s Odessa Klezmer Band – Mike Costa & The Beat – Rick Anton & The Polka Stars – Streetlight -The Golden Tones plus special guest appearance by “Polka Hall of Famer” Mitch Biskup. Come and enjoy a great day of fun & dancing and at the same time help a most worthy cause.
